Hymn for the King of the House of Silverbow
Barry E. Kopetz
Hymn for the King of the House of Silverbow is a
musical representation of the return of the King to the Land of
the Lochrians after being
held in captivity for many years in the Land of Aeolia. The first
section, View From the Cliffs of Lochria, is the King’s first
view of his country in many moons, and depicts all of the emotional
grandeur associated with love of one’s native land. Section
two, Entry of the King, is music for the entry of the royal personage
into the valley he left long before. The final section, the Royal
Hymn, is a setting of the hymn tune always played with the appearance
of the King. It had not been performed since his disappearance during
the first quartile.
Vlaskis and Quark are the two Lochrian lads primarily responsible
for deciphering all of the various clues related to the disappearance
of the King. At the rising of the two moons over the Lake of Miramoor,
they witness the passing of a purple shooting star across the path
of the full Assidium moon, as well as the appearance of a mysterious
hooded figure upon the shore. In the days ahead, the two friends
struggle to untangle the clues that they discover in pursuit of answers
to their questions, and strange happenings befall them that ultimately
lead to a maze of mysteries that they endeavor to solve. Along with
their friends Penny and Illyria, their journey into the strange Land
of Aeolia in search of their King proves to be both thrilling, and
hazardous!
